Terms of use

Last updated 17 August 2026.

Using the tools

The tools are free to use, for personal and commercial work alike, with no account and no limit. You do not need permission to use them in a business.

Your files remain yours

We claim no rights over anything you process. For the browser-based tools this is trivially true, because we never receive your document in the first place.

What you must not do

Do not use these tools to remove protection from a document you have no right to open, or to alter a document in order to deceive someone. The unlock tool requires the document password precisely because it is a convenience for the owner of a file, not a way around anyone's security.

No warranty

The tools are provided as they are. PDF is a large and inconsistently implemented format, and a file produced by unusual software may not process correctly. Keep your original file until you have checked the result. We are not liable for loss arising from use of the site.

Changes

These terms may change as tools are added. The date at the top of this page reflects the last revision.
